How do I add a Video Greeting to my VdateOnline profile?
VdateOnline offers 2 easy ways to add a Video Greeting to your video/photo profile:

1. Upload Existing Video File: Once you have registered and completed your profile data, go to My Profile, select the Upload/Change video greeting NOW button, browse your system for your video greeting file, open it, then hit the Upload Video Button (30 second video limit applies).
2. Create Video Greeting via Webcam: Once you have activated your account from the activation email link sent by VdateOnline, login, go to My Profile, select the Upload/Change video greeting NOW button. Enable the VdateOnline webcam encoder by selecting the Allow option in the black box then hit Record (30 second video limit applies). Once satisfied with your video save it; it’s that easy!

Can I post my profile if I do not have a video greeting?
Yes! You can create a profile without a video greeting, however, we do require you to upload a photo (max six photographs allowed) or a video greeting with up to 3 photos as part of your profile.

How do I remove my profile?
You can either temporarily pull your profile from being viewed by other members or cancel your membership and completely remove your profile from our database. To perform either of these functions go to "My Account" and either select “Change my status to inactive but keep my profile” or select “Close account and remove my profile”.

How do I change my password?
Go to “My Account” and fill out new password information.

How long can my video greeting be?
All video greetings have a maximum 30 second length. They are designed to offer prospective matches a clear picture of who you are as well as give them some basic information about your personality and the type of person of interest to you.

What is a detailed Video Profile?
A detailed Video Profile is a feature our subscribing members receive to enhance their profile and improve their date opportunities. The detailed video Profile enables the subscriber to upload a 2 minute video which gives our members a more detailed view of that individuals lifestyle, personality, and physical features.

BASIC PROBLEMS

I am only able to view the home page Top Ten profiles.
You must Sign up, for free, to view other VdateOnline profiles.

I am getting an incorrect screen name or password message.
Follow the link provided, "Forgot screen name or password" within the login page, to get your screenname and your password or a temporary password emailed to you.

I keep getting logged out.
This is caused by the cookies in your computer being either old, bad or disabled. You can fix this problem by clearing your browser cookies and enabling cookies in your browser.

I have a new email address, so I cannot request my login information.

When I search in my state or country, I don't get any results.
This problem may result from one of two things. First, its possible your location information is incorrect. Check your profile/ search and verify your postal code, state, & town are correct. Second, if you are outside the US, it is possible that there are not many or any members in your country. We recommend you try a new search or expand your search.

I keep being forwarded to login.
Please ensure that your web browser is set to accept cookies. Generally this issue is caused when cookies are disabled in your web browser.

I am unable to play videos.
You need the latest version of Macromedia Flash installed on your computer to be able to play VdateOnline videos. To download and install it for free, please visit Adobe here.

Videos are playing erratically.
It may be due to your connection speed. You need a high speed internet connection with at least 500 kbps speed to view videos that play continuously.

I cannot hear the sound on the videos.
To hear sound with your videos please make sure the volume controls on your computer are switched on. Also, ensure that the volume controls in all the video players (Windows Media player, Real player, etc.) installed on your computer are switched on.

In addition please check that your system meets the following requirements for playing videos:

• Macromedia Flash Player 9.0+ plug-in
• Windows 2000 or higher
• Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
• Firefox 1.5+, IE 5.0+ or Safari 2.0+
• High speed internet connection with 500 kbps or greater

If despite meeting all the above requirements you are unable to play videos, please try a different web browser. In addition, please test the audio on multiple videos.

It is taking a long time to upload my video.
In general, it takes 1-5 minutes to upload 1MB of a video on a high speed internet connection with 500 kbps or higher. You could be experiencing this issue because the size of your video is large or your internet connection speed is slower than 500 kbps.

I do not want to receive any promotional emails from the VdateOnline service.
To eliminate all promotional email from the VdateOnline service simply login and go to “myaccount” and unselect the checkbox labeled “notify me of VdateOnline news and specials”. Additionally you may also unselect the checkbox labeled “notify me when I get new mail” to deactivate your Inbox mail notification feature.
